AKO Language School is a Spanish school for foreigners based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Our A1 Group Class is designed for complete beginners — people with zero experience who want to start speaking Spanish with confidence from the very first session.
In small groups of maximum 6 students, guided by certified native teachers, you'll practice real conversations that matter every day in Mexico. No textbook-only learning. Just real Spanish, from day one.
We don't learn Spanish to pass a test. We learn it to live better in Mexico — every single day.

Not at all. The A1 course is designed for complete beginners. We start from absolute zero — no prior knowledge needed.

We’ll send you a summary of the key points covered. Your teacher can also help you catch up before the next session if needed.
Our teachers are bilingual. At A1 level we use English as support when needed, but the focus is always on practicing Spanish.
Yes. The A1 Group Class is 100% in-person at our location in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
